Vaughn Collin Greene is the President and founder of Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, P.A.
His extensive experience in funeral service and providing care to families has established him among the most respected young funeral directors in the local community. In just 11 short years of operation, his company has emerged to become one of the leading African American owned funeral service organizations in the Baltimore Metropolitan market.
Since the company’s inception in 1997, Vaughn’s leadership and direction have shaped its mission to reflect the highest standards in funeral care and ministry to families. As a result the company has distinguished itself for quality and excellence and has grown to encompass four locations across the Baltimore region.
Vaughn began his work in the community and in funeral service at the age of sixteen. Throughout a career that has spanned more than 30 years, he’s remained deeply committed to educating and assisting the public with issues and topics in funeral care. Vaughn’s experienced background has made him a popular speaker and recognized expert among his contemporaries — appearing on radio, television and in print to provide insight and advice. He’s also actively involved and acknowledged for his evangelism in the faith community where he’s received numerous accolades.
An avid sponsor of local partnerships, Vaughn and his company annually support numerous charity and civic organizations. Vaughn personally serves on several community boards and shares a unique passion for speaking with city youth about business leadership, spiritual development and career paths in funeral service
Vaughn holds professional membership with the Funeral Directors and Morticians Association of Maryland as well as the National Funeral Directors Association. In 2007 he received the Bridging the Gap Achievement Award from the Greater Baltimore Committee. He’s been honored by the governor of Maryland and by local ministries for being a model for success and Christian entrepreneurship. Vaughn holds a Doctorate of Humane Letters and is presently an ordained minister of New Shiloh Baptist Church. He and his wife, Brigette, live in the Baltimore area with their two children.
